Monte Vista
Monte Vista is a good-sized town with all the amenities. Birders might want to cruise the neighborhood streets looking for feeders, which can attract finches including Evening Grosbeaks and Cassin’s Finches. The cemetery just west of town has many mature evergreens where you might find warblers in migration, crossbills in winter, and Great Horned Owls at any season.
